Georgia Medieval Group
FALL 2023 MEETING
Saturday, November 4, 9:30am–4:30pm
Emory University
The Georgia Medieval Group’s (GMG) Fall 2023 one-day conference will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. It will be hosted by Alexander “Sasha” Volokh, Associate Professor of Law, and James Morey, Professor of English. The conference includes a show-and-tell of medieval items in Emory’s Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (Rose MARBL). We will also provide complimentary coffee and pastries for breakfast and Panera lunches, as well as a happy hour at local bar Double Zero.
All medieval and related topics are welcome. We are interested in presentations of research, of new analysis or interpretation, or pedagogical methods on medieval themes. A new “short papers” option (5–10 mins) is available. Please contact Prof. Volokh (avolokh@emory.edu) or GMG President Prof. Andrew Kurt (andrewkurt@clayton.edu) by September 20 if you are interested in presenting, and include a brief proposal or description of the intended presentation.
All sessions will be open to the public, and full details of the program will be circulated once established. GMG invites you to forward this call for papers and the forthcoming program to any student or colleague who might be interested in participating.
